Mrs. Ann (Green) Brown

Mrs. Ann Brown, age 92, of Cloudland, GA, died Sunday, July 28, 2019, at her residence.

Mrs. Brown was born June 24, 1927, in Trion, GA, daughter of the late Henry Thomas and Lucy Lorinda Jane Borden Green.  She was a member of Dry Valley Baptist Church, and prior to her retirement, had been employed in local cotton mills.  She became a Certified Nursing Assistant and had worked at the Chattooga County Hospital as well as in the Home Health field.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, Grady M. Brown; a son, Gary Thomas Brown; brothers, John Henry Green, Joe Green, and Fred Green; sisters, Louise Woody, Janie Johnson, Sue Green, and Margaret Mann.

Mrs. Brown is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, James Brown, Greg Brown, Gwynne and Rhonda Brown; daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Scott Howard; brothers and sister-in-law, Charles Green, Jim and Alice Green; sisters and brother-in-law, Judy and Gale Brock, Dorthy Huskey; sisters-in-law, Polly Green, Etta Green; grandchildren, Joseph Brown, Cole Brown, Hollee Howard, Kelsey Wearer, and Logan Stokes.

Funeral services for Mrs. Brown will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, August 1, 2019, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Weaver and Pastor Jeff Duvall officiating.  Interment will follow in Mount Bethel Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Caleb Green, Jim Johnson, Bade Eller, Randy Mann, Mike Woods, and Gary Woods.  Honorary pallbearers will be the members of Dry Valley Baptist Church Grace Sunday School Class, and her sister-in-law, Jewel Brown.

Mrs. Brown will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday.
