Mr. Thomas Eugene “T. Tommy” Baker, Sr., age 79, of Summerville, GA, died Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Baker was born July 28, 1938, in Trion, GA, son of the late Thomas Hansel and Alene Smith Baker. He was Baptist by faith, and prior to his retirement, was a self-employed truck driver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Vickie Hankins Grimes.

Mr. Baker is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas Jr. and Debbie Baker, Jason and Lacey Baker; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Jim Cleveland; step-daughter, Sarah Hood; mother of his children, Mary Baker; 5 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Baker was cremated and a private inurnment service will be held at a later date.
