Mr. Shannon Wayne Norsworthy

Mr. Shannon Wayne Norsworthy, age 31, of Lyerly, GA, died Monday, April 16, 2018, at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Shannon was born February 3, 1987, in Fort Oglethorpe, GA.  He had attended West Berryton Faith Temple and previously attended the Lookout Mountain Community Services Kaleidoscope Day Program.  He enjoyed riding, spending time outside, planting flowers, and especially loved music.  He also loved animals and being  around other people, especially children.  Shannon was preceded in death by his grandmother, Helen Norsworthy; and special friend, Alex Bryant.

Shannon is survived by his family, Jeff and Stephanie Dotson, Gary Russell, Darlia Minard, Kevin and Janie Bing, Dwight Dotson, Zachary Dotson, Don Dotson, Gary Dotson, and Penny Cavin; special friends, Sharon Toraya, Cindy Jackson, Cynthia Adams, Dawn Sitton, Kathy McCullough, and Emily Tucker; and his loving dog, Rachel.

Funeral services for Shannon will be held at 5:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 17, 2018, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Gail Dotson officiating.  Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Dr. Wayne Richey’s office and the members of the Lookout Mountain Kaleidoscope Day Program.

Shannon will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. until the service hour on Tuesday.
