Mr. Olin Sydney Brown

Mr. Olin Sydney Brown, age 92, of Summerville, GA, died Thursday, May 3, 2018, at his residence.

Mr. Brown was born February 12, 1926, in Summerville, GA, son of the late Major Oliver and Margaret Elizabeth Wilson Brown.  He was a member of the Silver Hill Baptist Church, and prior to his retirement, was employed with Riegel Textiles.  Mr. Brown was also a veteran of the United States Army.

Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Virginia Finster Brown; son, Olin Steve (Carol) Brown; daughter, Sandra (Farrell) Swanson; 6 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchild.

Funeral services for Mr. Brown will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 7, 2018, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ralph Sumner officiating.  Interment will follow in Silver Hill Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Jacob Peppers, Josh Peppers, and Jeremy Peppers & Jerry Rutledge.

Mr. Brown will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from. 1:00 P.M. until the service hour on Monday.
