Mr. John "JB" Berry Glass

John Berry “JB” Glass, age 78, of Summerville, GA, passed away Wednesday May 23, 2018,at Floyd Medical Center.

John was born Feb. 12, 1940, in Chatsworth, GA, the son of the late Everett Malcom Glass & Malvia Bennett Glass. He retired as a truck driver for Frito Lay, and was a member of Chelsea Baptist Church. John is preceded in death by a brother;  Everett Malcom Glass, JR,  and Francis Glass, sister-in-law; Hazel A. Glass,  and a brother-in-law; Gene Baggett.

Survivors include his wife; Shenia Glass, children; Frank & Karen Swails, Brandon Adams, J.B. Glass, Everett Glass, Selena & Al Brown, Melissa & Brian Asbury, Amanda Pollard, Daphney Glass & Pam Kilday, Frechia & Craig Collins, Juanita Swails,  brother; Larry “Mickey” Glass, sister;  Katherine Baggett, 18 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 10 AM Saturday May 26, 2018, at the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Russell Hendrick, Rev. John McGraw officiating with interment following at  Oak Hill Cemetery in Cartersville, GA.  Active pallbearers will be  J.B. Glass, Al Brown, James Brock, Billy Abernathy, Jacob Hancock, Roger Reynolds. Honorary pallbearers will be Blake Brock, and Russell Tandler.

John will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Friday- May 25, 2018, from 6 to 8 p.m.
