Mr. James Joseph "Buster" Cochran Sr, age 76, of  Trion, GA  passed away Thursday August 31, 2017 at Redmond Regional Medical Center. 

Mr. Cochran was born April 17, 1941 in Ft. Payne, AL, the son of the late James and Anna Elizabeth Abernathy Cochran.  He worked for Southern Auto Supply, and Georgia Glove, and he loved to fish..  He was preceded in death by a sister, Annie Mae Adams.

Survivors include his wife Nellie Cochran, children James and Tonga Cochran, Christopher and Anna Cochran, Djuana and Raynard Adams, Leanne and Rickey Blackmon, brother William and Linda Cochran, sisters Maxine Fowler, Willie Faye and Jerry Fowler, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm Saturday September 2, 2017 at the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Daniel Driver officiating.  Interment will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens.  Pallbearers will be Rickey Blackmon, Joseph Cochran, Logan Cochran, Andrew Fowler, Raynard Adams, Adam Cochran, Jeremiah Cochran and Kevin McKenzie.  Honorary pallbearers will be Dwayne Fowler, Nathan Blackmon and Mark Eric Watkins.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 until the hour of the service on Saturday.
