Mr. Donald Gene Starkey

Mr. Donald “Don” Gene Starkey age 75 of Summerville, GA passed away Friday- October 25, 2019 at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Starkey was born July 28, 1944 in Eurka, KS to the late Maurice LeRoy and Letta Brothers Starkey. He was a veteran of the United States army, and was a retired oil field worker.

Survivors include his wife, Ingeborg Starkey; sons, Donald Starkey and Stefan & Lisa Starkey; daughter, Doniela Hunter, sister Carol Vaugn, 5 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson.

Funeral services for Mr. Starkey will be held at2:00 p.m. Tuesday- October 29 at the Chapel of Mason Funeral Home with the Rev. Tommy Pledger officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett Cemetery with military honors. Ethan Hutchins, Brandon Hunter, Dillon Hunter, David Frazier, Max Tucker, and David Keen, Jr. will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Denby Marshall, Bill Day, David Keen, Sr., James Davis, Joe Middleton, Paul Snow, John Agnew, Richard Benedict.

Mr. Starkey will lie in state and the family will receive friends Monday from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Mason Funeral Home.
