Ms. Susan Betty Ferris, age 63, of Summerville, GA passed away Friday, May 12, 2017 at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Ms. Ferris was born January 19, 1954 in California. She was of the Christian faith and a member of the Native American Karuk Tribe. She was a generous, loving, and caring parent and grandparent who will be missed by all that knew her.

Ms. Ferris is survived by her loving companion and best friend; Ricky Portwood, children; Leah Portwood, Samuel Katz, Daniel Katz, and Israel Katz, sister; Toni Halla, 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Ms. Ferris will be Monday- May 15, 2017 at the chapel of Mason Funeral Home with the Rev. Joey Thorton officiating. Burial will follow at Subligna Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Charlie Portwood, Samuel Katz, Daniel Katz, Charlie Portwood, Jr. Steven Burnside, and Zach Dennis.

The family will receive friends Monday from 12:00 noon until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
