Mrs. Sue A. Elliott, age 84, of Summerville, GA, passed away peacefully Friday, April 29, 2016, at Oak View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Elliott was born July 4, 1931, in Dekalb County, AL, daughter of the late Hoyt and Bertie Abernathy.  She worshiped with the congregation of the Church of Christ in Lyerly from 1960 until 1990, and then began worshipping with the congregation at South Commerce Street Church of Christ in Summerville.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband; Willard Elliott, and a daughter; Elizabeth Marie Elliott Comer.

She is survived by her daughter; Ruth (Dan) McCollum of Armuchee, GA, son; Martin Daniel Elliott of St. Petersburg, FL, sister Sarah Spicer of Kennesaw, GA, one grandson, three granddaughters, and three great-granddaughters.

Honoring Mrs. Elliott's requests, services were private. Interment was in the Lyerly Cemetery.
