Mrs. Nola B. Floyd, age 91, of Summerville, GA, died Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at Floyd Medical Center.

Mrs. Floyd was born July 21, 1925, in Summerville, GA, daughter of the late John and Kate Dodd Norton.  She was a member of the North Summerville Baptist Church, and prior to her retirement, was employed in the lunchroom at Summerville Elementary School.  Mrs. Floyd enjoyed working in her flowers and spending time with her grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert “Bob” Floyd; a son, Jimmy Floyd; a brother, Charles Norton; sisters, Essie Dooley and Lemous Norton; and special friend, Paul Rosser.

Mrs. Floyd is survived by her daughter, Nancy Hill; sister, Maxine Head; sisters-in-law, Louise Norton, Cleo Floyd, and Mannie Floyd; grandchildren, Jim and Amanda Brooks; great-grandchildren, Bode Brooks, Zoe Brooks, Linkin Farrar, and Sarah Brooke Kelehear.

Funeral services for Mrs. Floyd will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 21, 2017, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Russell, Rev. Waydell Howell, and Rev. Terry Shores officiating.  Interment will follow in the Summerville Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be John Head, Edward Head, Orlando “Taco” Quikano, Robert Norton, Ken Norton, and Rusty Dooley.  Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Floyd, Tommy and Tina Hill, Casey and Kelsey Brown, the Ladies #9 Sunday School Class, and the staff at Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Floyd will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until the hour of service on Friday.
