Mrs. Nelly Ruth Ferguson, age 82, of Gaylesville, AL, died Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at her residence.

Mrs. Ferguson was born April 26, 1933, in Carbon Hill, AL, daughter of the late Dave Gilder McGinnis and Nancy Ethel Stricklin McGinnis.  She was a member of the Eastern Star and the White Shrine.  Prior to her retirement, she was employed with Acme Precision in Detroit, MI.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Orvis Walter Ferguson.

Mrs. Ferguson is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Walter and Barb Ferguson of Royal Oak, MI, Curtis and Kelly Ferguson of Leesburg, AL, and Cecil and Karen Ferguson of Centre, AL; daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Kim Mitchell of Gaylesville, AL; brother and sister-in-law, John and Linda McGinnis of Richmond, KY; sisters and brother-in-law, Elaine Mauldin, Louise Heatherly, and Candis and Jimmy McGee, all of Nauvoo, AL; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ferguson will be held at 12:30 P.M. (E.S.T.) Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at the Spaulding and Curtin Funeral Home in Ferndale, MI.  Interment will follow in the Roseland Cemetery in Berkley, MI.

Mrs. Ferguson will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. (E.S.T.) Friday, November 20, 2015.  She will also be in state at the Spaulding and Curtin Funeral Home from 10:00 A.M. (E.S.T.) until the hour of service on Tuesday, November 24, 2015.
