Ms. Melissa Gail Watson, age 54, of Summerville, GA, died Sunday, November 5, 2017, at Pruitt Health Shepherd Hills in LaFayette, GA.

Ms. Watson was born August 30, 1963, in LaFayette, GA, daughter of Patsy Ann Shelton Ramey and the late Lester Hudnell.  She was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church, and prior to her retirement, was employed with Mount Vernon Mills.  In addition to her father, Ms. Watson was preceded in death by her grandparents, Myrtle and Clarence Shelton.

Ms. Watson is survived by her son, Lamar Mann; daughter, Crystal Palmese; sisters, Kathy Bonjorni and Linda Shore; brother, Jerry Fielding; and several grandchildren.

Funeral services for Ms. Watson will be held at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 7, 2017, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Lemons officiating.  Interment will follow in the LaFayette City Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Anniston Mann, Blake Mann, Preston Barbare, Steven Sipsy, Terry Shropshire, and Austin Smith.

Ms. Watson will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service on Tuesday.
