Mrs. Jo Ann (Doegg) Bachelor

Mrs. Jo Ann Wynn Bachelor, age 82, of Lyerly, GA, died Wednesday, February 28, 2018, at her residence.

Mrs. Bachelor was born September 21, 1935, in Centre, AL, daughter of the late Joe John and Lucy Jane Prater Doegg.  She was of the Baptist faith, and prior to her retirement, was employed with Centre Manufacturing. She enjoyed knitting, quilting, and crocheting.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Bachelor; sons, Tommy Hill, Joe Wynn, and Jerry Hill; daughter, Karen Wynn; brothers, Ernest Doegg, Bob Doegg, and Wendell Doegg; sisters, Merle Dean McCord, Rose Mary Ashley, and Dorothy Nell Pledger.

Mrs. Bachelor is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Patricia Wynn; brothers, Wayne Doegg and Jim Doegg; sisters, Betty Henderson, Billie Kitchens, and Margaret Peters; grandchildren, Shane McCary, Steven McCary, and Susan Hill Woods; great-grandchildren, Ty McCary, Lucas McCary, Aniah McCary, and David McCary.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bachelor will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, March 2, 2018, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Robert J. Brown officiating.  Interment will follow in Sand Valley Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Steven McCary, Shane McCary, Ty McCary, Lucas McCary, Tony Cochran, and Ken Woodall.

Mrs. Bachelor will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, March 1, 2018.
