Mrs. Clara Frances Farmer Johnson, age 100, of Trion, GA, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Johnson was born July 6, 1917, in Trion, GA, daughter of the late Jim Colley and Martha Colley Lester.  She was a member of the West Fifth Street Church of Christ, and prior to her retirement, had been employed in food service with the Trion City Schools.  Mrs. Johnson was awarded the Senior Citizen Spotlight Award from the Chattooga Senior Center and the Senior Citizen Award from the West Fifth Street Church of Christ.  She had also starred in the movie, “Mama Flora’s Family Movie.” 

Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Lester Johnson, Sr.; parents, Jim Colley and Martha Lester; son, Van Johnson; brothers, Bay Farmer, Fred Farmer; sister, Louise Kirby; sons-in-law, Hugo Robinson, Charles Paige, Curtis Hudgins, Rick Franklin; sisters-in-law, Sadie Lester, Vernel Lester; and brothers-in-law, Charlie Kirby and Jesse Adams.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her children, Rose Page, Billy and Mary Johnson, Edna Hudgins, Susie Bell Robinson, Johnny Jr. and Marva Johnson, James and Sandra Johnson, Loretta Franklin, Doris Price, Doretha and Michael Smith, and Darryle Johnson; brothers, Bobby Lester, Buford Lester, and Lee Lester; sister, Katherine Adams; 27 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; and 50 plus great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Johnson will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, October 22, 2017, from the West Fifth Street Church of Christ with Min. John Lewis officiating.  Interment will follow in the Allgood Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Johnny Johnson III, Maurice Chaney, Omar Johnson, Wayne Robinson, and Terrance Smith.  Honorary pallbearers will be Leo Black, Bob Strickland, Shirley Daniel, Leon Wooten, and Ronald Wiggens.

Mrs. Johnson will be in state at the West Fifth Street Church of Christ and the family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until the hour of service on Sunday.
