Mrs. Charlotte June Gilreath, age 80, of Summerville, GA, died Saturday, December 23, 2017, at Floyd Medical Center.
Mrs. Gilreath was born June 22, 1937, in Trion, GA, daughter of the late Leon and Dora Lee Hammond Espy. She was a member of the Trion First Baptist Church, and prior to her retirement, was employed with Mount Vernon Mills for 49 and a half years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Lloyd Thomas Gilreath; and sons, Jeffrey Lloyd Gilreath and Christopher Derick Gilreath.
Mrs. Gilreath is survived by her daughter-in-law, Jeana (Ed) Spears; grandson, Jonathan Gilreath (William Harvey); brother-in-law, Steven Gilreath; nieces, Tammie, Tonya, and Shauna; and a special friend, Rita Boyles.
Funeral services for Mrs. Gilreath will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 27, 2017, from the Trion First Baptist Church with Rev. Casey Bramlett officiating. Interment will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Lee Cooper, Sammy Lee, Gary McConnell, Danny Murphy, Tim Thompson, Neil Gilreath, Jerry Corbin, and Jim Agnew. Honorary pallbearers will be the Joy Group of Trion First Baptist Church and the Adult Sunday School Class # 2 of Trion First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Gilreath will be in state at Trion First Baptist Church and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 26, 2017. She will also lie in state at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service on Wednesday.
