Mrs. Brenda Darlene Young, age 65 of LaFayette passed away Friday, September 29, 2017 at her residence.

Mrs. Young was born October 4, 1951 in LaFayette, GA to the late Oscar and Jannie Lou Adams Hawkins. She was a retired textile worker and tax preparer.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings; Louise Robinson, Henry Hawkins and Leonard Hawkins, sister-in-law; Debra Hawkins, and brother-in-law; Arlie Robinson.

Mrs. Young is survived by her husband; Tommy W. Young, Sr., sons; Tommy (Kelly) Young Jr., and Jaycee Young, daughter; Tonyu (Mike) Hinton, sisters; Sarah Robinson and Irene Cagle, Sister-in-law; Brenda Wilson, 6 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Young will be at 3:00 PM Sunday, October 1 at the chapel of Mason Funeral Home with Bro. James Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Hawkins Family Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Keith “Jabo” Burrage, Chuck Akery, Stacey Robinson, Richard Robinson, Yancey Robinson, and Daniel Robinson. Honorary pallbearers will be the grandsons.

Mrs. Young will be in state and the family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 until the hour of the service.
