Mrs. Annie Mae Pope, age 91, of Trion, GA, died Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Pope was born August 30, 1924, in Calhoun, GA, daughter of the late William "Bill" and Annie Clark.  She was a member of the Spring Creek Baptist Church, and prior to her retirement, was employed with Mount Vernon Mills.   She was also a member of the Quarter Century Club.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Connie Pope; brothers, Joseph H. Clark and Allan Clark; sisters, Pat Crowe, Myrtle Goodnight, and Beaty Wood; and a grandson, Donnie Pope.

Mrs. Pope is survived by her nephews, Billy Clark, Sr. and Louis Clark; niece, Shirley Reed; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Pope will be held at 4:00 P.M. Friday, May 27, 2016, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris Holman and Bro. Alvin Grogan officiating.  Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Tracy Shaw, Ronnie Cordle, Billy Clark, Jr., Mark Schrader, Sr., Stacey Evans, and Terry Pope.  Honorary pallbearers will be the Adult Sunday School Class of the Spring Creek Baptist Church.

Mrs. Pope will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, May 26, 2016.
