Mr. Rudolph Claude Crane, age 78, of Gaylesville, AL, died Friday, February 3, 2017, at his residence.

Mr. Crane was born April 19, 1938, in Cedar Bluff, AL, son of the late Claude and Emmer Bradley Crane.  He attended the Freedom Baptist Church, and prior to his retirement, was employed in the Printing Department at Riegel.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Jeanette Crane; a son, James Ray; and a daughter, Tammy Crane.

Mr. Crane is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Randy and Leslie Crane, Tommy and Mary Crane; a daughter, Savanna Crane; sisters, Thelma Steele and Hazel Steele; 11 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Crane will be held at 2:00 P.M. (E.S.T.) Monday, February 6, 2017, from the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Hawkins officiating.  Interment will follow in the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Tommy Crane, Dustin Crane, Larry Pettyjohn, Ricky Green, Billy Covington, Matt Brewer, and Steven Britt. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Bradley, and Bruce McCurdy.

Mr. Crane will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. (E.S.T.) Sunday, February 5, 2017.  He will also be in state at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church from 1:30 P.M. (E.S.T.) until the hour of service on Monday.
