Mr. Paul Carmichael McDaniel, age 62, of Summerville, GA, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2017, at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mr. McDaniel was born April 24, 1955, in Summerville, GA, son of Mae Bell Etchison McDaniel and the late A. D. McDaniel, Sr.  He was a member of the Thomas Chapel Methodist Church and was retired from the United States Navy.  He was also a veteran of the United States Army.  In addition to his father, Mr. McDaniel was preceded in death by his brothers, Calvin McDaniel and Michael McDaniel.

Mr. McDaniel is survived by his mother, Mae Bell Etchison McDaniel; brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold Gene and Mae Emma Thompson, Rodney McDaniel, A. D. Jr. and Dorothy McDaniel, Warren Cornelius McDaniel; aunt, Ruby Adams; uncles, John Etchison, Jr., William Paul Etchison, and Henry David Etchison.  A host of nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. McDaniel will be held at 12:00 Noon Thursday, July 13, 2017, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop V. T. Harden officiating.  Interment will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday from the Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors.  Pallbearers will be Joey Wiggins, Kelly Wiggins, William Walker, James Crawford, Steve McDaniel, Leon Hall, John Dale Anthony, and Eddie Watkins.

Mr. McDaniel will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of service on Thursday.
