Mr. Michael McDaniel, Sr., age 57, of Lyerly, GA, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017, at Pruitt Healthcare in LaFayette, GA.

Mr. McDaniel was born January 11, 1960, in Summerville, GA, son of Mae Bell Etchison McDaniel and the late A. D. McDaniel.  He was a member of the New Spirit and Truth Church, and prior to his retirement, was employed in the roofing industry.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Calvin McDaniel.

Mr. McDaniel is survived by his wife, Janice Prater McDaniel; sons, Michael McDaniel, Jr. and Hampton McDaniel; mother, Mae Bell Etchison McDaniel; brothers, Harold Gene Thompson, Rodney McDaniel, Warren Cornelius McDaniel, Paul Carmichael McDaniel; and grandchild, Jesiah Michael Mason McDaniel.

Funeral services for Mr. McDaniel will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, July 2, 2017, from the New Spirit and Truth Church with Bishop V.T. Harden, Min. Michael Mack, Min C. Allen, and Min. Lawrence officiating.

Mr. McDaniel will be in state at the New Spirit and Truth Church and the family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service on Sunday.
