Mr. Joseph Wayne Ashley, age 70, of Summerville, GA, died Monday, April 2, 2018, at Floyd Medical Center.

Mr. Ashley was born August 1, 1947, in Oak Ridge, TN, son of the late Arvine Hill and Lou Dean Lowe Ashley. He was a member of the Summerville Presbyterian Church, and prior to his retirement, was employed with Beckett Wire Company.

Mr. Ashley is survived by his step-brothers, Keith Proffitt and Ronnie Proffitt; a nephew, John Albert Proffitt; and a cousin, Scott Shrout.

In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Ashley was cremated and no formal services are planned at this time.
