Mr. John Paul “Johnny” Henderson, age 62, of Summerville, GA, passed away Saturday October 7, 2017, at Floyd Medical Center.

Mr. Henderson was born December 4, 1954, in Summerville, GA, the son of the late Elisha and Cecil Gaylor Henderson.  Mr. Henderson was a member of the United by Faith Baptist Church. Along with his parents he was preceded death by a sister, Mary Ratliff.

Survivors include, his wife; Rita Henderson, sons and  daughters-in-law; Shawn and Stacey Henderson, Steven and Amanda Henderson, daughter; Brittney Henderson, daughters and son-in-law, Shelby and Casey Hunter, Sonya Thrasher, brothers  and sisters-in-law; Greg and Kathy Henderson, Sidney and Linda Henderson, sisters and brothers-in-law; Edna and Gene Cavin, Ann Strawn, Joan and Mike Ratliff, grandchildren; London and Lawson Henderson, Abbie Henderson, Destiny, Brooke and Ansley Lowe, Kimberly McWhorter, Shauna Swords, and great-grandchildren; Jordan Thrasher, Devin Herod,  Lexie Hunter.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday October 10, 2017, at the Chapel of Mason Funeral Home with Rev. Barry Brown and Rev. John McGraw officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope South Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be; Scotty Cavin, Kevin Henderson, Shane Ratliff, Devin Herod, Jimmy Lowe, Jason Harris.  Honorary pallbearers will be: Micky Floyd, Terry Hampton, Rusty Henderson, Paul Henderson, Marvin Agan.

Mr. Henderson will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday October 9, 2017.
