Mr. Gordon Phillip “Phil” Key, age 70, of Cloudland, GA, died Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at Saint Joseph’s Hospital of Atlanta.

Mr. Key was born July 29, 1947, in Menlo, GA, son of the late Gordon Nathaniel and Helen Jewel Rebecca Holbrook Key.  He was Baptist by faith and was a self-employed carpenter.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a special friend, Dawn Wood.

Mr. Key is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Josh and Kristin Key, Chris and Amanda Key; a daughter, Felisha Key; sisters, Mary Hegwood and Bonnie Harris; and 8 grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Key will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 3, 2017, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Steve Pickern officiating.  Interment will follow in the Mount Olive Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Charles Rogers, Russell Stoker Stevenson, Eric Powell, Ron Jewel, Yogi Hegwood, and Will McKenzie.

Mr. Key will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until the hour of service on Friday.
