Mr.  Dave Lee Roach, age 72, of Lyerly, GA, died Friday, May 6, 2016, at Floyd Medical Center.

Mr. Roach was born November 18, 1943, son of the late John Franklin and Iokeau Mountain Roach.  He was a member of the Old Path Baptist Church, and prior to his retirement, was employed with Mohawk.  He also owned and operated Dave's Lawn Care.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Buck Roach; and a sister, Mary Lou West.

Mr. Roach is survived by his wife, JoAnn Pettyjohn Roach; daughters and son-in-law, Shawna Gilliland, Amber Roach and Brad Dillard; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Barbara Roach; sisters and brother-in-law, Sherry Williamson, Debbie and Robert Elrod; grandchildren, Mason Gilliland, McKenzie Gilliland, Braden Dillard, and Katie Dillard.

Funeral services for Mr. Roach will be held at 12:00 Noon Monday, May 9, 2016, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Waydell Howell, Rev. Sanford DeBerry, and Rev. Barry Peppers officiating.  Interment will follow in the Lyerly Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Cecil Reynolds, Raymond Reynolds, William "Fuzz" Anderson, Gordon Boyd, Frank Crane, Pete Denson, Bud Mobbs, and Randy West.  Honorary pallbearers will be the Dave's Lawn Care Customers, and friends from Jim's and Henry's Restaurants. 

Mr. Roach will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Sunday, May 8, 2016.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
