Mr. Clifford Wayne Posey, age 64, of Summerville, GA, died Thursday, June 29, 2017, at Floyd Medical Center.

Mr. Posey was born December 17, 1952, in Summerville, GA, son of the late Clifford Louis and Ona Mitchell Posey.  He was an avid history buff and loved anything involving U.S. history.  He was a graduate of Walker Technical School and worked as a self-employed handyman.

Mr. Posey is survived by his life-long special friends, Scott and Lynne Noel, Christy Lea, Chris Noel, and Phillip Bruce; brothers, Mike Posey, Ray Posey, and David Posey; sisters, Sue Morgan, Lanette Bradford, and Brenda Copeland.

In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Posey was cremated and there will be a gathering of family and friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Friday, July 7, 2017, at Mason Funeral Home.
