Mr. Anthony Douglas Sparkes, age 70, of Cloudland, GA, formerly of Key Largo, FL, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2017, at Redmond Regional Center.

Mr. Sparkes was born December 4, 1946, in Newark, NJ.  He was a veteran of the United States Navy and a member of the American Legion.  Prior to his retirement, he was employed in the construction industry. 

Mr. Sparkes is survived by his wife of 39 years, Susan Smith Sparkes; mother-in-law, Isabelle Moody; sister and brother-in-law, Sherry and Tom Barrat; niece, Denise (Gil) Rivas; and great-niece and nephew, Elise Rivas and Matthew Rivas.

In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Sparkes was cremated and no formal services are planned at this time.
