Miss Roy Diane Tharpe, age 70, of Summerville, GA died Friday, October 28, 2016.

Miss Tharpe was born July 20, 1946 in Atlanta, GA, the daughter of the late Roy Alotis Tharpe and Elizabeth McKinny Tharpe.   She was affiliated with the Sonrise Community Church.

Miss Tharpe is survived by her family at Daily Care C.L.A., Stacey Cordle, Chip DeFoor, Nell Hardin, Debbie Long, Gerrie Wooten, Brenda Veatch and Bobby Haynes, Kelli Veatch, Lakesha Veatch, Gewn Battles, Judy Crabtree, Jimmie Davis, Tonya Dawson, Rachel Echols, Nicole Irvine, Angie Joyner, Auburn Lewis, Sandra Lewis, Sissy Lowry, Erica Parker, Marsha Uptain, and Teresa Wood; and her guardian, Betty St. Clair.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p. m. Sunday, October 30, 2016, at Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Steve Pickern officiating.  Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Gary Uptain, Eli Lewis, Jay Lowry, Wesley Dawson, J J Irvine, and Bobby Miller.  Honorary pallbearers will be the Staff of Daily Care of Summerville.

Miss Tharpe will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p. m. on Sunday.
