Mr. Dana Michael Long, age 67, of Silver Creek, GA, died Friday, March 17, 2017, at his residence.

Mr. Long was born June 3, 1949, in Marietta, GA, son of the late Garland and Trula Busby Long.  He was a veteran of the United States Army, and prior to his retirement, he was a self-employed contractor.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Patrick William Long; a brother, Huey P. Long; and a sister, Idella Kruger.

Mr. Long is survived by his companion, Sue Powers; son, Brent Ashley Long; daughters, Monika Long Rubin, Sabrina Long Wells; grandchildren, Alexander Bateman, Hallie Bateman Rubin, Landon Rubin, Andrew Rubin, and Evelyn Faith Long.

Graveside and interment services for Mr. Long will be held at 12:30 P.M.     Tuesday, March 21, 2017, from the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA with Min. Hugh Glaze officiating.
